IVP Field Day
Each year, we plan to hold a couple of field days around the showcasing of best practice, new technologies and various trials; one in November, and a follow-up for the season in early March.
This month’s coming Field Day aims to be informative, and delivered in a sharp prompt style. We know that you are busy and so we aim to engage with you in a timed and efficient manner.
First on the agenda, we will be addressed by three companies that we are working with for the season;
Two blue-sky projects using a combination of GPS referenced EM surveyed subsoil mapping, and satellite imagery to help capture and provide valuable management information,
A trial looking to address managing botrytis in a unique manner.
We will then break to grab food from the BBQ, and a drink before being led by Ben McLauchlan to view vineyard practices;
The use of mulching under vine, and a comparative look at different methods for both replanting and new plantings.
Where?
Rothay Vineyard, Wratt’s Road, Rapaura – The headland between Home and Dudley vineyard blocks. Look out for the MGG and Farmlands banners. Parking is on the right hand side grass verge.
